Cenotaph Pauline Thrasher went home to rejoice with her Lord and Savior on Mother's Day May 9th, 2021 at Great Plains Nursing Home in Dumas, Texas. She was born on December 28, 1925 in Indiahoma, OK to parents Perry and Amy Ferris. She was raised in a loving Christian home along with sisters Mae and Joyce. She graduated from Grandfield High School in 1944. Pauline gave her life to Christ in her early twenties. She married Marvin Smith on Dec 3, 1945 and they settled in Texhoma, OK. They had three children, Sherry, Bub (Marlin), and Stan in Texhoma. Pauline worked as a teller and assistant cashier at First National Bank for over 38 years before retiring in 1989. She married Clarence Thrasher on March 3rd, 1973, and they celebrated their 48th anniversary this year. Pauline's greatest love was God, then her family, who she loved deeply. Each grandchild and great grandchild put a twinkle in her eye. She strived to model Christ through her kindness and a servant's heart. She taught her grandchildren about God's love and grace. She was a true prayer warrior. She was known for her sassy beauty, lovely heels, bold jewelry, and red lipstick. She was beautiful inside and out. She was always active in her church by cooking, working in the nursery, and teaching all ages from preschool through senior ladies Sunday school classes. She was faithful to study her Bible until the very end. She has now completed the race, and we celebrate that she was a good and faithful servant. She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Amy (Peterson) Ferris, husband Marvin Smith, sons Bub and Stan and sister Lorena Mae Hickerson . She is survived by husband Clarence Thrasher of the home, sister Joyce Meyer of Edmond, Oklahoma, daughter Sherry Diller and husband Tom of Texhoma, Step-Son Jim Thrasher and wife Brenda of Urbandale, Iowa, granddaughters Tobi Cullop and husband Eric of Decatur, Texas, Codi Mason and husband Lee of Sublette, Kansas, Andi Ebersole and husband Andrew of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Brynea Daman and husband James of Mesa, Arizona, Amanda Backus and husband Ryan of Mesa, Arizona, great grandchildren Parker and Logan Cullop, Colby and Cailby Perez, Chase and Amy Ebersole, Keaton and Korbin Mason, Aidan, Landon and Azariah Backus, and Mahayla Daman.
