Bio
Willie Joyce Meyer, 89, was born in Granfield, Oklahoma on April 3, 1933. Joyce passed to her heavenly home at Concordia Living Center in Oklahoma City on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was the daughter of Perry and Amy (Peterson) Ferris and an adored baby sister to Mae and Pauline. Joyce grew up in Granfield and Fredrick, Ok. On August 13, 1950 she married Jimmie Meyer of Texhoma and they lived there their entire married life where they were blessed with four children; Randy, Mike, Rocky and Carmen. Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband of 69 years, Jimmie Meyer; two sons, Randy and Mike Meyer; two sisters, Mae Hickerson and Pauline Trasher. A celebration of Joyce's life was held in Oklahoma City on July 6 and her funeral will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Texhoma, OK on Friday, July 22, 2022 with private interment at Texhoma Cemetery. Memorials in Joyce's name can be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 465, Texhoma, OK 73949
