Married Joseph Kracman on November 12, 1901 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Abie, Nebr. ''''''' People's Banner (David City, Nebr.), February 15, 1923, p. 4, col. 4 LINWOOD This community was greatly shocked on Wednesday evening when news reached here of the death of Mrs. Joseph Kracman at the Schuyler hospital. Mrs. Kracman had undergone an operation in the Schuyler hospital just ten days previous for appendicitis and was improving nicely and was about to leave for her home on the day of her death Her death was from heart failure. Fannie Walla was born on September 27, 1883, near Abie, where she lived up to the time of her marriage to Joseph Kracman which took place on November 12, 1901. They moved to Linwood at that time, where she lived until her death. To this union were born two children, one daughter, Tillie, and one son, William, who with their father, survive their mother’s death. Mrs. Kracman was well known by her pleasant disposition and liked very much by all who knew her. She was a woman that will be greatly missed in her home and in the many social circles where she always took part. Funeral services were held from the Linwood Catholic church on Saturday, morning, February 10. It is thought to have been one of the largest funerals ever held in Linwod. Interment was in the Linwood Catholic cemetery. Those who survive her besides her husband and children, are three sisters, Mrs. Frank Barcal, who lives near Edholm, Mrs. Joseph Voboril, who lives in Boone county, and Miss Jennie Walla, who lives in Schuyler, and one brother, Frank Walla, living near Abie, and many friends. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to all the bereaved.
