'''''''''''''''''''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), July 25, 1957, p. 5, col. 4 Frank J. Walla, 84, Dies July 18 At Hospital Frank J. Walla, 84, of Abie, a retired Butler county farmer, died July 18 at the David City Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning from the Svoboda Chapel to Sts. Peter and Paul Church of Abie with the Rev. Boniface Tomek officiating. Pallbearers were Leo Lanik, Jim Chladek, Wm. Kracman, Clarence Votava, Louis Kucera, and Ed. Brezina. Burial was in the Abie Catholic cemetery. Mr. Walla, the son of John and Marie Curda Walla, was born in Czechoslovakia in 1873, and came to the United States as a small boy. He was preceded in death by his wife. Surviving him are two sons, Emil of Phoenix, Ariz., and John of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Marie) Koza of Lyman and Mrs. Lad Hanus of Prague; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
