Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), February 28, 1918, p. 4, col. 4 Abie John Walla, who underwent a surgical operation in the Prague hospital some three weeks ago, died Friday, Feb. 22, in the hospital. He was 35 years old. Rev. Father Kopecky conducted the funeral services. They were held in Sts. Peter's and Paul's Catholic church in Abie. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery here. Mr. Walla is survived by four sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Voboril of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Joseph Kracman of Linwood, Mrs. Frank Barcal of Colfax county and Miss Jennie Walla, living at home, and Frank Walla of Abie.
