Bio

Son of George and Johanna (Wotipka) Walla. Married (1) Marie Curda. Married (2) Johana Svoboda on November 20, 1877 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Abie, Nebr. In his will (dated December 2, 1889, proved February 1, 1890), John Walla of Linwood township left 1/3 of his real and personal property to his wife Johana (to be equally divided by his children at her death) with the remaining 2/3 to be divided for his children. He appointed Frank Walla executor. The will was witnessed by Frank Tomanek, Martin Rezac, and Frank Rezac. His probate file states he died December 27, 1889, having resided in Butler County 17 years, and names his children: Frank, Ludwik, Mary, Frances, Annie, John, and Jennie (Butler County probate file #179).
