Her obituary indicates she died March 2 not March 3 as inscribed on her gravestone. Married Frank Walla on April 18, 1899 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Abie, Nebr. Birth date calculated from age at death. ``````````` Peoples Banner (David City, Nebr.), March 7, 1907, p. 4, col. 3 Abie Frank Walla and Mrs. Anton Chladek were Omaha passengers last Saturday to visit Mrs. Walla who was there in the General Hospital to be operated on. But Monday last we were shocked by the news of her death. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Simond. She has been sick for a number of years past and at last knowing it to be hopeless to take medical treatment, resolved to have on operation performed, which was done but shortly afterward she quietly passed away. The deceased leaves a husband and three children to mourn her departure. The oldest of the children being only 7 years. The deceased was laid to rest Wednesday the 6th of March, in the Catholic cemetery.
