Son of Hardy Johnson and Henrietta "Doll" Doyle. Husband of Ozila "Ozzie" Hock. The DeQuincy News DeQuincy, Louisiana • Thu, Jan 23, 1969; Page 6 Mr. Johnson Funeral services for Charlie Johnson, 72, of Starks were Wednesday in the First Baptist Church in Starks. Burial was in Doyle Cemetery. He died Monday in a DeQuincy hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Starks he was a retired carpenter. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Farley, C, J. and Donald Johnson, all of Starks and Dan Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Roland Adams of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. R. L. Thompson of Orange, Mrs. Jerry Barrow of League City, Tex. and Mrs. Floyd Lowie of Freeport, Tex.; one foster son, Gene Asworth of Starks; three brothers, Murphy and Dan Johnson both of Starks and Mitchell Johnson of Port Arthur; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl McLeod and Mrs. Nettie Gore, both of Starks; 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
