AUDREY MAE LOWRIE APRIL 4, 1929 - JANUARY 16, 2012 Audrey Lowrie, 82, of Freeport, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012. She was born April 4, 1929 in Starks, Louisiana to the late Charles and Ozella Johnson. Mrs. Lowrie worked for many years at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Freeport. She was a faithful, longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, located on Slaughter Road, later moving her membership to West End Baptist Church. She loved to work in her yard and took great pride in her flower beds and plants. She was a great Mom, Granny and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Lowrie. She is survived by daughters, Melessa Moore and husband, Jerry Lynn of Lake Jackson, Karen Bentley and husband, Jerry of West Columbia; sons, David Lowrie and wife, Debi of Italy, Texas, Aubrey Lowrie of Freeport and Brian Lowrie and wife, Robin of Henderson; nine grandchildren, Jason Lowrie, Amy Bean, Philip Lowrie, Andrew Lowrie, Danielle Bentley, Coleton Bentley, Das Lowrie, Ani Lowrie and Damodar Lowrie. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Restwood Memorial Park with Bro. Thomas Lester officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Stroud Funeral Home.
