The Banner-Press (David City), September 21, 1967, p. 7, col. 2 Services For Joseph Anderly, Sr., 88, Conducted at Dwight Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning, Sept. 13, from Dwight Assumption Catholic Church for Joseph Anderly, Sr, 88, who died Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Schuyler Senior Citizen Home. Officiating were Msgr. George J. Schuster. Pallbearers were Richard and Raymond Anderly, Emil Anderly, Jr., Don Anderly, Steven Albin, and Gregory Novacek, all grandsons. Burial was in Dwight Assumption Cemetery. Among those coming from a distance to attend the services were relatives from Bee, Valparaiso, Platte Center, Omaha, Seward, Weston, Brainard and David City. Joseph Anderly, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Anderly, was born March 19, 1879. He was married to Mary V. Stoupa, and eight children were born to this union. The family resided on a farm near Dwight. His wife, Mary, and two infant sons preceded him in death. Survivors include four sons, Joseph, Jr., of Bee, John of Dwight, Emil of David City, and James of Valparaiso; two daughters, Mrs. James (Marie) Albin of Platte Center, and Mrs. Frank (Lillian) Belsan of Omaha; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
