February 7, 1974, p. 7, col. 3 & 4 Services Conducted Saturday Morning For John F. Anderly Funeral services for John F. Anderly, 66, Dwight, were conducted Saturday morning, Feb. 2, from Dwight Assumption Catholic Church. Mr. Anderly died Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Butler County Hospital following a year's illness. Rev. John C. Rasmussen officiated at the services. The church choir provided the music with accompaniment by Mrs. Albin Sypal, organist. Offertory gifts were presented by the grandchildren. Willis Jakub was commentator. Altar boys were Tracy and Todd Hotovy, Jay Coder and Bill Hotovy. John Prochaska and Allan Hotovy were ushers. Pallbearers were friends of the deceased, James Kadavy, Francis Trojan, Irvin Cidlik, Jr., Charles Hurt, Ed Kouma, all of Dwight, and Dennis Potter of Valparaiso. Burial was in Dwight Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were from Hastings, Grand Island, Norfolk, Omaha, Lincoln, Columbus, Seward, York, Staplehurst, Bee, Colon, Valparaiso, Prague, David City, Bruno, Brainard and Millard. John F., the son of Joseph and Mary Anderly, was born May 27, 1907, at Dwight. On Feb. 20, 1928, he was united in marriage to Marie A. Policky at Bee. Five children were born to this union. He was engaged in farming and resided in the Dwight area all his life. He is survived by his wife, Marie ; two sons, Richard and Raymond living at home; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Celestine) Sisel of Dwight and Mrs. Victor (LaVerne) Novacek of Bruno; three brothers, Joseph of Bee, James of Valparaiso, and Emil of David City; two sisters, Mrs. James (Marie) Albin of Norfolk and Mrs. Frank (Lillian) Belsan of Millard; six grandchildren; eight nephews and nine nieces. His parents, a daughter, Janice Marie, and a grandson preceded him in death. ____ col. 3 CARD OF THANKS – We wish to thank our friends, relatives and neighbors for their thoughtfulness at the time of his illness and many kind acts of sympathy during our sadness at the time of the death of our husband, father and grandfather. Many thanks for flowers, memorials, food and cards. Special thanks to Rev. John Rasmussen, Assumption Altar Society for preparing the lunch, Drs. Rudolph and Byers, Butler County Hospital staff, pallbearers, ushers, commentator, church choir, organist, altar boys and Holesovsky Mortuary. God bless you all.
