Henry S. Kusek (1st son, 1st of 13 children, Andrew M. & Clara Czuba-Kusek) Aged 68 Yrs, 8 Ms, 14 Ds. Services: August 27, 1985 - 10:00 A.M., Sacred Heart Catholic Church Clergyman: Father Edmund Placek & Father Stanley Gorak Music: Betty Kovarik, Organist Pallbearers: Tom Schmenti, David Kusek, Paul Zulkoski, L.D. Glatter, Scott Stubbs, Charles Kusek, Jim Jezbera, and Tom Kusek. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Bishop, Richard Larsen, Pete Gruchalla, Bill Chalupsky, Floyd Iwanski, Ray Kusek, Philip Wentek, and Darrel White. Interment: Cottonwood Cemetery, Burwell, Nebraska. ----------------------------------- Henry S. Kusek was born December 10, 1916 near Elyria, Nebraska to Andrew and Clara Czuba-Kusek and died August 24, 1985 at the age of 68 years. Henry grew up in the Elyria vicinity and recieved his education at the rural school. Henry served in the Armed services for four years (1941-1945) with the 3rd Armored Division. In 1946 Henry was united in marriage to Margaret (Ardath) Alloway and to this union 8 children were born. In 1946, Henry attended the school of Photography where he studied for two years, before returning to Elyria to farm in 1948. He remained on the farm until his death. Henry is survived by his wife Ardath, two sons and six daughters. Ardath and Jim Doty, children Scott & Candice of Ravenna; Vicki and Lynn Bridgman, children Becky, Terri, Cody, & Ty of Stuart; Nancy and Richard Psota, children Jackie, Chris, & Eric of Hartington; Margaret Jane and Keith Vore, children Jennifer, Jason, & Christina of Burwell; Penelope and Larry Wells, children John, Melissa, & Sarah of Lincoln; and Mary Kusek of Grand Island. Two sons; Anthony Paul Kusek and wife Carol, children Katherine of Lincoln; Henry John (Hank) Kusek of Ord. Three brothers; Floyd Kusek of Boring Oregon, Adrian Kusek of Burwell, and Andrew Kusek of Ord. Six sisters; Marie Suminski of Gresham, Ore; Helen Glatter of Amherst; Mildred Kusek of Chicago, Ill; Sister Boneventure, Sister Lenore, and Sister Clara Francis, (Sisters of Resurrection, Chicago, Ill.).
