Bio

Louis John Elznic, son of Frank and Marie Elznic, was born September 4, 1915, on a farm near Milligan, Neb. He departed from this life at the Geneva General hospital December 23, 1946, at the age of 31 years, 3 months, and 19 days. He father and brother Joseph preceded him in death. During his boyhood, he attended school at District 76 in Fillmore county. Later, he assisted his father on the farm and after his father's death, he assumed full responsibility for the home. In the latter part of December, 1937, while he was hauling straw, a wheat beard became lodge in his right eye. This caused severe infection, and he never fully recovered from its effects. Since his injury, he was hospitalized a great deal of the time. Tender and loving hands did everything possible to comfort him during the years of affliction. Louis was always very kind and friendly to everyone. He loved people. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Mrs. Marie Elznic, four brothers, Frank R, Anton F, William and James; seven sisters, Mrs. John Stofer, Jr, Mrs. Joe Chudly, Mrs. James Vojta, Mrs. Vencil Zenisek, Mrs. Lumir Nemeska, Mrs Ben Fussell, and Mrs. Charles Stofer; twenty-three nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
