Bio

John and Anna Stofer were born and raised in the Milligan, NE area, where they farmed. In the 1930's they moved to the Henry Wearin farm west of Carleton. After WWII they purchased a farm on the north edge of Carleton, where they lived until Anna's death. John and son Bernard moved to Bruning. John remarried Stella Polage, They later moved to Fairbury, NE be- cause of health reasons. To this union six children were born: Ruby, Darlene, Bernice, Tony, Rudy and Bernard.
