Bio

Died 1 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 1988, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 82, and a native of Amite County, Mississippi. He was a retired East Baton Rouge Parish employee and a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., after 9 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. James Nichols. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Hattie Mae McGehee, Baton Rouge; a stepdaughter, Johnnie Onstead, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. B.M. Robeau, New Orleans, and Mrs. Janie Jones, Baton Rouge; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. J.E. Hewitt, Mrs. J.A. Crawford and Mrs. W.H. Adams. He attended Douglas Avenue Baptist Church. Published in The Morning Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), June 23, 1988
