Bio
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Summit, Miss., for Leon C. McGehee, 84, who died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. H. Adams, 654 N. Sixth st. He was a native of Amite county, Miss. The rites are to be held in the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. E. Hewitt of Summit. The Hartman funeral home of McComb, Miss., is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be grandson of McGehee. They are Dr. I. L. Hewitt, M. L. Parker, C. B. Hewitt, A. W. Jones, jr., James E. Hewitt and W. H. Adams, jr. McGehee is survived by his wife, the former Mattie Beall; one son, T. L., of Baton Rouge; five daughters, Mrs. W. H. Adams of Baton Rouge, Mrs. J. E. Hewitt of Summit, Miss., Mrs. J. A. Crawford of Lake Charles, Mrs. A. E. Jones, sr., of Zachary and Mrs. B. M. Robeau of New Orleans; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
