Bio

Herald Coaster, November 12, 1979: Funeral services for Monica Vacek, 62, of Fairchild, were held at 10 a.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Vacek died Nov. 10 at her home. A native of Fairchild, she had lived there all her life. She was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Vacek; a daughter, Patsy Nichols of Fairchild; a son, Raymond Vacek Jr. of Fairchild; sisters, Betty Bienek and Estelle Kaderka of Needville, Alma Sabrsula of Fairchild; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
