Fort Bend Herald, September 24, 2007: Alma Lilly Vacek Sabrsula went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 22, 2007. Alma was a devoted Catholic and great conversationalist. She never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. She was born November 7, 1922 in Fairchilds to parents Joe B. and Hattie Cernosek Vacek. Alma is preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Sabrsula, Sr.; parents, Joe B. and Hattie Vacek; brothers, Alfonse Vacek and baby Pete Vacek; sister, Monica Vacek; and granddaughter, Sheree Ernest Reid. She is survived by her loving children, Don Sabrsula and wife, Paula, of Katy, Diane Ernest and husband, Donald, of Fairchilds, Joseph Sabrsula of Katy, Albert Sabrsula, Jr. and wife, Tracy, of Fairchilds; her grandchildren whom she devoted so much of her time to and loved being with, Matthew and Michael Sabrsula of Houston, Ashley Sabrsula of Baytown, Shara Ernest of Fairchilds, Jennifer Voskuhl and husband, Jake, of Phoenix, Arizona, Jerimiah Sabrsula and wife, Theresa, of Colorado, Shawn Warncke and husband, K. B., of Fairchilds; her great-grandchildren who were her little angels, Jill Reid, Zoe, Skylar, and soon-to-be Baby Voskuhl, Margo, Kate, and Walker Warncke; loving friend who was like her daughter, Bonnie Sabrsula; sisters, Betty Bienek and husband, Frank, Estelle Kaderka and husband, Jerry; sisters-in-law, Vlasta Sabrsula Kirkendall, Vee Sabrsula, all of Needville; along with numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and an abundance of friends. Please join her family in celebrating her life. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. with a rosary being recited at 7:30 P. M. Monday, September 24, 2007, at Davis Chapel in Needville. A funeral mass will be held 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, with Father James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Needville. Pallbearers are Jerimiah Sabrsula, K.B. Warncke, Tommy Kaderka, James Kaderka, Frankie Bienek, and Jason Vacek. The family would like to thank the staff at S.P.J.S.T. #2 Nursing Home in Needville for taking such good care of Alma.
