Dodge City -- Frank J. Herl, 86, died Nov. 6, 1987 at Humana Hospital, Dodge City. Born April April 3, 1901 at Munjor, he married Barbara Legleiter June 16, 1924 at Munjor. She died July 3, 1948. A retired farmer and stockman, he was a resident of Dodge City since 1963. He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, and the National Cattlemen's Association. Survivors: son, Eugene, Ellis; daughter, Rose Marie Kohl, Ellis; sister, Julia Herl, Hays; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. today at Wasinger Funeral Home, Ellis. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis, Father Paulinus Karlin. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Ellis. Hutchinson News
