MALONE C.A. (Mac) Malone, age 54, 2238 Varsity Drive, Grand Prairie passed away Thursday morning. He died in his sleep at home of an apparent heart-attack. Born in St. Edward, Nebraska May 22, 1924. Mr. Malone is the son of Thomas and Alice Zabka Malone. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II in the Philippine Theatre. He was married to Barbara Van Meter February 4, 1947. He was a resident of Grand Prairie for twenty-seven years. Employed by L.T.V. since March 13, 1951. He was Powerhouse Leadman on the Second Shift. He was a journeyman Stationary Engineer, a mechanic a former State Inspector. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church L.T.V. Quarter Century Club and the Texas Rangers C.B. Club. Survived by wife, Barbara; daughters, Barbara Alice Malone, Ann Malone, Pattie Ratliff, Mary Ellen Rush, Carol Lee Copeland, Jacki Lyn Malone, all of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren, Brandy and Christopher Raliff, Monica and Steven Rush; brothers, John, Frank, George, James, Richard, all of Iowa, Charles, California; sisters, Helen, Marie, Hazel, Nebraska, Shirley, California, Violet, Iowa; mother-in-law, Veronica Heldt; five god-children, Rusty Van Meter, Sheila Uva, Daniel Van Meter, Chuck Malone, Dennis Johnson. Preceded in death by son C. A. (Chip) Malone Jr.; parents; two sisters; brother and father-in-law, George Van Meter. Rosary 7 p.m. Sunday Southland Funeral Chapel. Mass 10 am Monday, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rev. Patrick Lynch, celebrant. Interment Southland Memorial Park;
