Violet McDonnell CLINTON, Iowa - Violet M. McDonnell, 62, died Monday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. vigil service conducted at Schmitz Funeral Home, Clinton. Violet Malone married Robert McDonnell in 1950. He died in 1979. Mrs. McDonnell was a member of the church and enjoyed traveling, bingo and her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include daughters, Donna (Mrs. Mark) Klahn and Mary (Mrs. Chuck) McClenning, both of Clinton: sons, Joseph, Camanche; Thomas, Rock Island; and Charles and Gene, both of Clinton: nine grandchildren; sister Helen Durand, Indianapolis; Marie Ziemba and Hazel Tallmage, both of Omaha, Neb.; and Shirley Bangert, Action, Calif., and brothers, Frank Malone, Fayette; Charles Malone, Sun Valley, Calif.; and George and Richard Malone, both of Bettendorf.
