Bio

∼ Herald Coaster, April 14, 1966: Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Chernosek, 79, a resident of Rosenberg since 1951 and formerly of Fairchild, were held from the Triska Chapel in Rosenberg at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, April 9, followed by services at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 9 a.m., with Msgr. J.J. Tydlacka officiating. Mrs. Chernosek passed away at her home Wednesday evening following a short illness. She was a member of the Needville K.J.Z.T. Society. Survivors are one son, Steve Chernosek of Rosenberg; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Staha of Houston, and Mrs. Olga Dittfurth and Miss Ella Chernosek of Rosenberg; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Vaclav, Jerry, and Vojt Vacek of Rosenberg, and Joe Vacek of Needville; four sisters, Mrs. Olga Stavinoha, Mrs. Martha Zwahr, Mrs. Mary Zwahr, and Mrs. Ella Novak of Rosenberg. Pallbearers were Vojt Stavinoha Jr., Freeman Zwahr, Freddie Trahan, Louis Vacek, Joe Gurecky, and Wilbert Haas. Interment was made in the St. Michael Cemetery in Needville, with the Triska Funeral Home in charge.
