Herald Coaster, August 25, 1995: Funeral services for Annie Chernosek Staha, 78, of Houston, a former Rosenberg resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with a funeral mass at the Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston. The Rev. Narcisco Bordignon will be celebrant. The rite of committal will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Earthman North Funeral Chapel, 5100 North Freeway, Highway 45, Houston. Mrs. Staha died Aug. 22 in a Houston hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of SPJST Lodge #88 and KJZT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J. Staha; by two sisters, Olga Dittfurth and Ella Chernosek, both of Rosenberg; and brothers, Steve Chernosek of Rosenberg and Ignac Chernosek of Needville. Her survivors include a daughter, Janet Staha of San Antonio; a granddaughter, Jamilee Staha of San Antonio; and by numerous nieces and nephews in the Rosenberg-Richmond area. Funeral services are under the direction of Earthman North, 695-6881.
