Bio

LUBBOCK - Dorothy B. Loescher went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2012. She was born on Feb. 10, 1919 in Lubbock, Texas to Jesse Franklin and Hester Bumpass. On Aug. 18, 1936, she gave birth to her only son, Jack Branch. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, five brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ann Bumpass of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Dana Duvall of Russellville, Ark., Johnnie Cole of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Susan Jones of Wolfforth, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was known as a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Friend. A memorial service will be held at Faith Christian Family Church on March 31, 2012 at 3 p.m. Published in The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal on March 21, 2012
