Joe Bob Bumpass, 79, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday November 5, 2008. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. November 10 at Franklin-Bartley Chapel with Bob DuPont officiating and Ross Dunn assisting. Family will receive friends today, November 9 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 11 in the Snyder Cemetery. Joe was born June 10, 1929 in Lubbock to Jesse and Hester (Lane) Bumpass. Joe married Ann Gates on December 26, 1950. He worked for Revlon cosmetics for 30 years as Sales Representative and traveled all of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. He made many friends throughout the area. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Bumpass; two sons, Mark and wife Kelly and their son Robert; Mike and his daughter Stevie; brother, Walter Bumpass; sister, Dorothy Loescher. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers. His family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at UMC, Trust Point, and Vista Care Hospice Unit at Carillon for the care that they provided.
