Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Koliba, 79, will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Yoakum and burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery. Mrs. Koliba, who lived with a daughter at 2212 Niagara, died yesterday. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Krupala of Shiner, Mrs. Ben G. Benys and Mrs. Josephine Jamota [Janota?] of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Judy Pizzitola of La Porte, and Mrs. Albina Powers of Baytown; four sons, Jim and Willie of Victoria, Joe of Port Lavaca, and Otto Koliba of Gonzalez; five sisters, Mrs. Agnes Svoboda of Pasadena, Texas, Mrs. Albert Benes and Mrs. Millie Konecy of Shiner, Mrs. John Marek of Campbellton, and Mrs. Cellia Tergac [Targac?] of Shiner; a brother, Ed Ermis of Fort Worth; 35 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Corpus Christi Times, Saturday, December 5, 1959. Mrs. George (Anna) Koliba, age 79, died in Corpus Christi on December 4, 1959. Funeral services were held on Monday at 9:00 a.m in St. Ann's Catholic Church near Yoakum and interment was made in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Rev. G. Kuratko and Rev. Chas. Grahmann officiated. Buffington Funeral Home of Yoakum had charge of burial while the Kubena Funeral Home brought the body from Corpus Christi and prepared it for burial. The deceased was born in St. Mary's on August 2, 1880, to the late Joseph and Antonia Hollub Ermis. In 1901 she was united in marriage with George Koliba in Shiner. They settled in Lavaca County after their marriage. Survivors include four sons, Jim Koliba of Victoria, Willie of Victoria, Joseph of Port Lavaca, and Otto Koliba of Gonzales; five daughers, Mrs. Albert Krupala of Shiner, Mrs. Julius Pozzitola of La Porte, Mrs. Ben Benys of Corpus Christi, Mrs. J. Jonota of Corpus Christi, and Mrs. G.A. Poner of Baytown; one brohter, Ed. Ermis of Fort Worth; five sisters, Mrs. Agnes Svovoda of Pasadena, Mrs. Alf. Benes of Shiner, Mrs. Willie Konecny of Shiner, Mrs. Jno. Marek of Campbelton, and Mrs. Cecelia Targac of Shiner; 35 granchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
