SHINER: Albina Koliba Powers, age 91, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was born October 2, 1922 in DeWitt County to George and Anna Ermis Koliba. She was a housewife, a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Altar Society and KJZT. Survivors: daughter, Ann Morris (Robbie) of Houston; two grandchildren, Christian and Kenneth; numerous nieces and nephew; special caregivers, Barbara and Otto Koliba of Shiner. Preceded in death by husband, Gratton Powers; sisters, Agnes Krupala, Annie Benys, Judy Pizzitola, Josephine Janota and Mary Koliba; brothers, Willie, Joe, Jim, Otto, and Julius Koliba. Entombment at Sunset Mausoleum in San Antonio will be held Friday.
