Services for Mrs. Florence Cecilia Schmidt, 2001 N. Quincy, will be Monday in Assumption Catholic Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Schmidt, a lifelong resident of Topeka, died Friday in a local hospital. She was 57. She was born Feb. 28, 1906 in Topeka. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. Survivors include her husband, John G. Schmidt of the home; three sons, John Schmidt Jr., 2500 Lincoln, Richard Schmidt, 2013 Meadow Lane, and Raymond Schmidt, 1258 High; three daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Wegerer, Westomont, Ill., Mrs. Rosemary Smith, Wichita, and Mrs. Florence Grubb, Overland Park; two brothers, Joseph Hefner, 2010 N. Quincy, and Theodore Hefner, 2319 Prairie Road; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Schultz, 276 Chandler, and Mrs. Catherine Burkhart , 3827 Munson, and 32 grandchildren. Mrs. Schmidt will lie in Brennan Funeral Home Sunday. Parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m., and Daughters of Isabella at 7:45 p.m. Topeka Daily Capital , 1/18/1964
