George W. Hefner, 63, former Topeka Santa Fe employee, died Monday in a Kansas City hospital. He was born July 12, 1894 in Topeka and spent most of his life in this city. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Fourth Degree. He is survived by a son, Harold Hefner, Chicago; two brothers, Joseph T. Hefner, Compton, Calif., and Theodore Hefner, Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Herman Schultz, Mrs. Peter Burkhart and Mrs. John Schmidt, all of Topeka. Funeral services will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rosaries Tuesday at Brennan Funeral Home will be recited by the Knights of Columbus 2608 at 7 p.m., Parish at 7:30 p.m., Knights of Columbus 534 at 7:45 p.m., Fourth Degree at 8 p.m., Ladies of Columbus at 8:158 p.m. and the Daughters of Isabella at 8:30 p.m. Topeka Daily Capital, 3/3/1958 Info provided by 47188065
