Mrs. Mary Katherine Hefner, 69, died Sunday at her home, 209 Harrison. Mrs. Hefner was born in Pfeifer, Russia, August 10, 1878. She came to the United States 55 years ago, and has lived in Topeka since that time. She leaves her husband, George F. Hefner; three sons, George W. and Theodore R. Hefner, both of Topeka, and Joseph T. Hefner of Long Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Herman Schultz, Mrs. Peter Burkhart and Mrs. John Schmidt, all of Topeka; one brother, George C. Kistner of Clovis, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. George Farher of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 19 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Wednesday at 8 a.m., with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at the home from 6 p.m. Monday until the funeral hour. D. of I. rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the K. of C. 2608 at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangement were announced by the Brennan Funeral Home.
