Donald Wayne Kerr (121890684) -------------------------------------- Saturday Rites for Mrs. Carrie Flakus Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, April 30, for Mrs. Carrie Flakus, 66, who died Tuesday, April 26, in Vancouver, Wash. The services will be conducted in the St. Mary's Catholic church of Elyria with Father Leonard Ziolkowski officiating. Mrs. Flakus was born Jan. 8, 1889, in Tarnov, Nebr. She came to Valley county in 1905 and in 1906 was married to Henry Flakus at Elyria. In 1923, the family moved to South Dakota and in 1941 to Vancouver, Wash., where they have lived since. Survivors include seven sons, Erwin and Ralph, of Dallas, S. Dak; Rudolph, of Shelton; Ernest of Medford, Ore.; Lewis [sic] of Lewiston, Idaho; Clifford of Spalding, Robert of The Dalles, Ore.; six daughters, Mrs. Victoria Klienschmidt [sic], of Hartington; Mrs. Ruby Bell and Mrs. Carolyn Kerr, of Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. Louella Dahl, of Pasco Wash.; Mrs. Ethel Rodman [sic], of Ligionier, Pa.; and Mrs. Catherine Harrahill of Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Zulkoski and Mrs. James Iwanski of Elyria and Mrs. John Michalek, of Omaha; four brothers, Michael and Andrew Kusek, of Elyria;Joseph Kusek of Hastings, Adam Kusek of Columbus, and 24 grandchildren.
