Violet Myrtle Hughes, daughter of George Hughes and Harriet Appleman, was born December 19, 1884, died May 15, 1972, and is buried in Dell Cemetery, Vernon County, Wisconsin. Her first marriage to Albert Mc Pherson ended in divorce. Her second marriage was to Oscar Edwin McDaniel, born June 4, 1875, who died October 18, 1954. Their children were: Lawrence, b. 21 Aug 1906; Clarence, b. 16 Apr 1908; Blanche; & Virgil. ∼ Mrs. McDaniel ONTARIO - Mrs. Myrtle McDaniel, 87, died Monday (May 15, 1972) in a Hillsboro hospital after a brief illness. She lived in Rockton until 1955 and then moved to Ontario. Her husband Edward, died in 1953. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Blanche Ormson, Kendall; two sons, Lawrence, Kendall; and Virgil, Madison, O., a brother, Walter Hughes, Bloomingdale; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Dell. Friends may call after 2 p.m Thursday at the Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, Kendall.
