Samuel is the brother of Rachel (Allen) Rutledge , Martha (Allen) Ehrhardt , Edward Valentine Allen , Susan F. (Allen) Elliott , John D. Allen , Nathaniel Newton Allen , J. William Allen , Mary Byrd Allen and Harvey Allen . Samuel P. Allen lived in Prairie Hill, Chariton County, Missouri and later settled in Bay City, Texas. Children of Samuel Price Allen and Mary (Gerhardt) Allen: Vern (William Vern) Allen (b 9-7-1889, d 3-15-1950) Lived in Pledger, owned Allen's Grocery Store. (married to Myrtle) Daughters: Sammy (Allen) Brooks--Children: Mickey Brooks (former Mayor of West Columbia) and Jim Dalton (Houston attorney), Bobby Allen--Son Allen of Alice and daughter Sherry of Corpus Cristi.
