Son of Samuel Allen and Mary (Norvell) Allen . About Harvey's Place of Birth: Samuel's grandson, Henry Erhardt Allen, wrote that his grandparents Samuel and Mary Norvell (Norville) Allen moved their family from Missouri to McDonough County, Illinois in 1863 and moved back to Salisbury, Chariton County, Missouri in 1865 after the Civil War ended. The Maude Bliss Allen publication titled Allen-Easter Families of Virginia, Genealogical Record of Samuel Allen Rev.
