Bio
Daughter of Samuel Allen and Mary (Norvell) Allen . A single gravestone is shared by siblings Mary and Harvey Allen. Neither of them married. About Mary's Place of Birth: Samuel's grandson, Henry Ehrhardt Allen, wrote that his grandparents Samuel and Mary Norvell (Norville) Allen moved their family from Missouri to McDonough County, Illinois in 1863 and moved back to Salisbury, Chariton County, Missouri in 1865 after the Civil War ended. The Maude Bliss Allen publication titled Allen-Easter Families of Virginia, Genealogical Record of Samuel Allen Rev. Soldier and his Wife Nancy of the Carolinas and Virginia ( Genealogical Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Microfilm) notes all of Samuel and Mary's children were born in Savannah, Andrew County, Missouri, except Mary and Harvey were born in McDonough County, Illionois.
