Bio
Fort Bend Herald, August 23, 2007: Eddie L. Pieper, 91, went to be with his "Lord and Loved Ones" on Aug. 22, 2007. Eddie was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Moulton, Texas, to Fritz and Rosie Pieper. He was a veteran of WWII, a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post No. 350 and S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 81 of Needville, Texas, and VFW Post 3903 of Rosenberg, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Rosie Pieper; brothers Otto Pieper, Leroy Pieper, Bernard Vollentine and Jimmy Vollentine; sisters Evelyn Brumley and Dona Vollentine. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosie Lee; daughters Rosemary Pieper, Tammy Moore and husband Mike, and Kimberly Stammann and husband Chris; son Leslie Pieper and wife Sherrie; brothers Carl, Daniel and Alfred Pieper, and Paul Vollentine; sisters Mary Ann Aaron and Emily Keefer; grandchildren Ryan, Braxtin, Orin, Leah, Stephanie, Nathan, Michelle and Monica; and great-grandchild Taylor Moore. Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 9122 Church St., Needville, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007. at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, following in procession to Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Eddie to Houston Hospice-El Campo, 1102 N. Mechanic, El Campo, TX 77437 or St. Paul's Presbyterian Church's Music Fund, 979-793-4305. The family wishes to thank the Rev.
