Herald Coaster, June 15, 2005: Funeral services for Lawrence W. Sebesta, 82, of Rosenberg, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Marialice Billingsley officiating. Mr. Sebesta will be buried in Needville Public Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2005, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home, 1201 Fourth St., in Rosenberg. Mr. Sebesta died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at OakBend Medical Center. He was born Feb. 11, 1923 in Fairchilds to parents, William and Rosie Sebesta. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post No. 271. He worked as a boat mechanic. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rosenberg. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Sebesta, of Rosenberg; son, Lawrence Sebesta Jr. and wife, Vikkie, of Houston; daughter, Judy Ann Siefert of Houston; grandchildren, Beau Owen Sebesta and wife, Betty, Shane Sebesta and wife, Amanda, Shawn Sebesta, Robert Siefert, and Marcus Siefert and wife, Jennifer; stepdaughters, Melba Ashley and husband, Jimmy, of Richmond, and Lynette Harbes and husband, Gary, of Rosenberg; step-grandchildren, Dawn Green of Rosenberg, Kristin Evans and husband, Scott, Cody Ashley, and Shawn Thielemann and husband, David; six great-granddaughters; sister, Jo Ann Fojtik and husband, Clarence, of Needville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Sebesta, and his sister, Dorothy Callihan. Pallbearers will be Cody Ashley, Marcus Siefert, Beau Owen Sebesta, Shane Sebesta, Shawn Sebesta, and Robbie Siefert. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 1400 Radio Lane, Rosenberg, Texas 77471.
