s/o John Krenek Married Amelia Vasicek on October 17, 1881 in Fayette County, TX. From the Bryan (TX) Daily Eagle , Wednesday, July 15, 1942, p. 1: George Krenek, Brazos resident of many years, who was almost 86 years of age, died this morning at 2:20 o'clock at his home on the Fin Feather road. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 5:00 o'clock at Hillier's Funeral Home, with Msgr. J. B. Gleissner of St. Joseph's Catholic church in charge. Interment will be at the Rector cemetery at Shiloh. Pallbearers will be N. J. Saladiner, Ole Martinsen, Anton Turek, Tom Hanus, Victor Boriskie and Tom Murray. Mr. Krenek, who was born July 28, 1856, in Czecho-Slovakia, came to America when only two and a half years old. He was married to Miss Amelia Wasicek in 1881, and they lived in Brazos county practically all their 63 years of married life. Born to this union were 10 children, six sons still living. The survivors include the wife; the six sons, John Krenek of Los Angeles, Calif., and L. J., Theo, Willie, Joe and Antone Krenek, all of Bryan; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
