WASHINGTON -- Marilyn P. Brecklin, 61, of 501 Hillcrest Drive was pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1994, of an apparent heart attack at the Illinois Central College library in East Peoria. Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Sparland to Stephen and Evelyn O'Brien Streitmatter , she married Clarence "Mick ey" Brecklin on June 27, 1959, in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, John and Thomas, both of Washington; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Sharon) Stoller of Indianapolis; one brother, Paul Streitmatter of Sparland; two sisters, Mauritta Berlett of Peoria and Doreen Johnson of San Diego; and two grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death. She was a cashier in the cafeteria at Illinois Central College and worked as a bookkeeper at Brecklin's Amoco station in Washington. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington, its CEW and the Parish Guild. She was a member of Peoria Cursillo 187. She was active with Plaza Lanes Bowling League in Washington. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at her church. The Rev. Gary Caster will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington, with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Morton.
