Sparland Youth is Killed Accidentally Funeral services were held this morning, Wednesday in St. Patrick's church at Camp Grove for Delbert Streitmatter, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Streitmatter of Sparland, who was killed Sunday in a hunting accident on his parents' farm. A high school graduate, he had recently been discharged from the navy. Delbert was accidentally shot in the head by his younger brother Paul, 12. Among his relatives in this area are Mr. and Mrs. James O'Neill, Fred and Frank Streitmatter, Mrs. Frank Fritz and Mrs. Creola Streitmatter. Wyoming Post Herald, December 21, 1949.
