I am not sure that Sarah is buried in this cemetery, but the rest of her family is.
Bio
Sarah A. Burk was born in 1858 in Tennessee, the daughter of James Marion Burk (1833-1900) and Susan Catharine Phillips Burk (1834-1914). Siblings: Mary Jane Burk [Wright] (1855-1939), James Franklin Burk (1861-1931), William Marion Burk (1870-1941), Robert [Bob] Perry Burk (1874-1944), Samuel Houston Burk (1875-1930) and Thomas Jefferson Burk (1880-1960). James and Susan along with their two little daughters, Mary Jane and Susan moved from Tennessee to Texas around 1859. The 1860 Census Record shows the family living in Texas and that James and Susan had 2 children, Mary Jane and Sarah A. but the 1870 Census Record no longer shows Sarah, indicating that Sarah died in Texas between 1861 and 1870. Her father James Burk donated a small plot of land for the Bristol Cemetery in 1879. As it appears that Sarah died before 1870, I don't know if the plot of land that James donated was the same plot that included the burial spot for his daughter Sarah or if she is buried elsewhere in Texas.
