SD--Rapid City Daily Journal....27 Jul 1993 WEALTHA MAY FORKNER: Lady Lake FL; 88, formerly of Rapid City SD, died Monday (7-19) at LadyLake. Survivors include her husband, RobertL Forkner-LadyLake; son Richard Sylvis-Dunnellon; daus: Holly Corum-Ava MO; Kath-erine Nechvotal-Lancaster WI; Louise Krantz-Thermopolis WY; 3 stepsons, Raymond Vaughn Forkner-Denver CO; EM Scott-LongBeach CA; Patrick Forkner-address unknown; 1 sis: Beatrice Burnett-BelleFourche SD & 16 grand-children. Services were held (7-22) at Beyers Funeral home in LakyLake. Burial was at Florida National Cem in Bushnell. PARTIAL OBIT---- ROBERT FORKNER: Summerfield, 90, a retired salesman for a salvage company died Tuesday (1-16) at Tuscany House. An Army veteran of World War II, he fought in the Battle of the Bulge & was a prisoner of war. He was awarded the Purple Heart among other medals. Survivors include his wife, Anna LeBlanc Forkner-Summerfield; sons, Raymond V Forkner-HotSprings SD; MichaelM Scott-LongBeach CA; stepdaughter Arlene Earnest-Leominster MA; stepson, Gary LeBlanc-Summerfield; 2 step-granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Gordon-Oxford MA & KellyMarie Fuhs-Westminster MA. A memorial service will be held Thursday (1-25) at 10AM at Florida National Cemetery with VFW Post 8083 officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County-Ocala FL.
