Black Hills Pioneer December 14, 2000 Interment for Beatrice Burnette, 86, Belle Foruche, will take place at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche. She died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at the Belle Fourche Long Term Health Care Center. Beatrice was born Jan. 17, 1914, in Red Owl, S.D., to John and Laura (Hicks) Simons. She married Jefferson Burnette on Mar. 26, 1949, in Rapid City. She is survived by her husband Jefferson, Belle Fourche; two daughters Charlotte Corothers, Citrus Heights, Calif., and Violet Tripp, Bishop, Calif.; one son, Clifford Burnette, Washington; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Simons; and two sisters, Wealthy Forkner and Alice Murphy.
