Clement Pavlu LA MARQUE-Clement Hubert Pavlu, 59, of 3014 Cedar Drive, La Marque, died Thursday at Santa Fe Hospital in Temple, Texas. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church the with the Rev. Rod Poythress officiating. Burial will, follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson under the direction of James Crowder Funeral Home. Born February 14,1920 in Garwood, Texas, Mr. Pavlu was a resident of La Marque for 26 years. A carman for the Santa Fe Railroad, he was a World War II veteran, member of the Knights of Columbus, Czech Heritage Singers of Galveston County, R.V.O.S, and president of the K.J.Z.T. Society. He was also a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian M. Pavlu of La Marque; father, Charles R. Pavlu of Garland; daughters, Mrs. Vernell Delesandri of Hitchcock, Mrs. Diane Lockhardt of Alta Loma, Mrs. Susan Mazzantini of Texas City, Mrs. Pamela Wytovak and Miss Carolyn Pavlu, both of La Marque; a son, David Pavlu of La Marque; five brothers, Charlie Pavlu and Johnnie Pavlu, both of Louise, Texas, Leo Pavlu of College Park, Ga., Norbert Pavlu of Houston, and Lawrence Pavlu of Garwood, Texas. Pallbearers will be W. K. Leonard, Eddie Darilek, Ernest Pesek, Louis Reznicek, John Valusek and Clarence Fee.
