Bio

Sarah Jane's father was Phillip Wolf and her mother was Caroline Powell Spalding. They married in 1848. Caroline was Phillip's second wife. His first wife was Elizabeth Meek. Caroline's first husband was Lyman Spalding. Sarah's full sisters were Harriet Dana of Fairfield Iowa and Henrietta Criswell of Hastings Nebraska. Among others, her half brothers were Milton and Capt L.B. Wolf.
