Bio

Enlisted in Company "C" 51st OVI on 27 August 1861 at Camp Meigs, Canal Dover (Dover), Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Died from disease / sickness at Nashville Tennessee on 24 October 1862. Military records from the time indicate he was buried at Nashville National Cemetery, but there does not appear to be any current record of his burial there. Was he reinterred? Brother 's Freeman (FindAGrave # 153319592) & Lyman (FindAGrave #'s 153319549 & 2994983) both served in the 51st OVI and both died of disease / sickness in Tennessee during the Civil War.
