Georgia Vrba Howell, age 87 of Garland, died Sunday evening, August 19, 2007 in a Garland hospital. Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 23rd at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, followed by Mass of Christian Burial with Father Anthony Odiong, as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. Mrs. Howell was born, February 22, 1920 at Tours and had been a resident of Garland for the past thirty eight years, also having lived in Ft. Worth, Tulsa Oklahoma and New Jersey. She married Jack Howell on December 27, 1952 at Tours and was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Dallas. She was a retired bookkeeper for several insurance companies. Survivors include her husband, Jack Howell of Garland; two sons, Randy Howell of Garland and Ronald Howell of Temple; two brothers, Stanley Vrba Sr. and wife Barbara of West and Ermin Vrba and wife Annie of Sherman and several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be James Uptmore, Tony Vrba, Stanley Vrba Sr., Stanley Vrba Jr., and Ted Uptmore and James Cagle. Kotch Funeral Home of West is in charge of arrangements.
