Albina A. Sykora, age 80, of West, died Friday, March 6, 1992 at her residence. Mrs. Sykora was born August 22, 1911, in Tours, the daughter of John and Anna Vrba. She married Ignac J. Sykora. (He died October 3, 1976) She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Survivors include one sister, Angeline Uptmore of Lacy-Lakeview; one half-sister, Georgia Howell of Garland; four half-brothers, John Vrba and Stanley Vrba, both of West, Ben Vrba of Mt. Calm, and Ermin Vrba of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as Celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.
