Bio
Daughter of Susan "Susie" (Carver) and Perry Rigney, wife of Denton Hancock. Wayne County Outlook Monticello, Kentucky 7 May 1970 Hattie Pearl Rigney Hancock, born November 22, 1894, departed this life April 26, 1970. She was united in marriage to J.D. Hancock and to this union was born 10 children. Preceding her in death was her husband and one child. Leaving to mourn her passing are 9 children, Orvil, Marvin, Dosha and Robert of Powersburg; Vasco, Myrta, Chester, Willie and Hubert. These living in Indiana. 28 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, also one brother, Burbie Rigney of New Castle, Ind.; one sister, Janie Denney, Glasgow. She was saved and united with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age where she remained a faithful member until death. She was a devoted mother and will be missed by all. Bro. Eldon Denney officiated. Richard Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers, the grandchildren, Esca Ballinger, Willie Hancock, Jim Hancock, Eugene Hancock, Ralph Hancock, Ricky Hancock, Donnie Hancock. The flower girls also the grandchildren. She was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery to await the Resurrection. God came and took her to be in Heaven above. But she'll always lead and guide us with her love. Her eyes were so happy, they shined so very bright. She raised nine children and brought them up right. There were 28 grandchildren, she loved them all so much. We'll miss our dear granny, and her precious touch. With 30 great grandchildren, were her Heavenly bliss with so much love for them, than no one could ever miss.
