Wayne County Outlook 26 Sept 1985 Marvin J. Hancock, a native of Wayne County, age 72, of Somerset, passed away Friday, September 20 at Humana Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset after a sudden illness. He was born August 22, 1913, the son of the late Pearl Rigney and Dent Hancock. He is survived by his wife, Eva Belle Roberts; four children, Allene Blevins, Welby Hancock, Jim Hancock and Betty Brown; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; five brothers, Chester Hancock, Willie Hancock, Vasco Hancock, Robert Hancock and Hubert Hancock; two sisters, Doshia Hancock and Myrtle Ballenger. He was preceded in death by one brother, Orville. He had been the owner of Hancock Auto Sales in Somerset for the past thirty years. Funeral services were held Sept. 22 with burial in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
